Fit & Flare Wedding Gowns

Fit and flare wedding dresses, sometimes called fit to flare, are huge in bridal right now. Brides wanting to move away from the princess ballgown look and really show off their feminine shape will opt for this style of gown. They often have elaborate bodices and trains and currently for 2021/22 weddings we are seeing the trend of plainer skirts. Let us talk you through some of our favourite pieces from both our Ronald Joyce collection and Victoria Jane collection.

Diva, style 69555 our easy to wear crepe gown which drapes over the figure. The detail is the intricate patterned lace to the bust, hips and tummy areas which is then mirrored to the hemline with the skirt left plain. She has a stunning cut-out train which will wow your guests as your walk up the aisle. We think this is going to be a bit hit this season!

If you are looking for a classic lace wedding dress then Wandina, style 18467 could be the one for you. This delicate lace gown has just the slightest beading so is not overpoweringly sparkly. The back is left wide open, and the highlight is the double straps with the outer ones designed to sit just slightly off shoulder. We love this gown for a destination or outdoor wedding.

If it is sleeves you are looking for, then look no further than Floella, style 69613. She is a lace, jersey and tulle gown with plunging neckline and sheer appliqued sleeves. If you are someone looking to cover up then note that the back is also sheer but covered. To add drama to the look you could wear the matching overskirt style 69614 – sold separately, and you could also wear it for the ceremony and remove it for dancing in the evening.

If you are looking for something completely plain then we love Violet, style 18501. Made of crepe it has the classic sweetheart neckline and a good sized sweeping train. If you are looking to cover up for your ceremony or are having a winter wedding you can add the matching cape, style 18502 – sold separately. The minimalist sparkle belt comes with the dress.

Finally, here is our effortlessly chic lace and tulle gown Fernanda, style 69608. Shown in ivory/nude it has just a touch of sparkle beading. This is such a ‘hot off the catwalk’ look, it would be perfect for the Instagram influencer. We would team this with minimalist sparkle jewellery, a relaxed up do and some killer heels.
