We absolutely love it when we get tagged in wedding photos on social media to see how our lovely brides have made their Ronald Joyce dress special and unique to their day. When Mary got in touch to show us her photos we had to find out more…
Mary married her true love Paddy in a special ceremony at St John _ Trea Church in Moneymore and had their photographs taken at Killymoon Castle in Cookstown Northern Ireland just 2 weeks ago! Killymoon Castle was originally built in 1671, and subsequently re-built in 1803 and is perfect for weddings with its regency gothic interiors which make for amazing photo backdrops!
Mary told us how she enjoyed wedding planning by looking at wedding inspiration in bridal magazines and by visiting wedding fairs to get lots of ideas. Unfortunately, with the pandemic hitting it meant that her dream wedding was postponed 3 times! This meant her wedding on 13th March 2021 was instead very intimate with small numbers, but still very special.
When asked about her special dress Mary was keen to tell us…
“I had always wanted a ballgown wedding dress, your wedding day is the only time you can really dress up and feel like a princess. I knew I wanted a Ronald Joyce dress as it is known for luxury, quality craftmanship and rich fabrics.”
Mary said that she visited 3 bridal boutiques and in total only tried on 8 dresses before she knew she had found her dream dress and ‘Said yes, to the dress!’ as everyone says now.
She accessorised her gown with a pearl bracelet, simple drop pearl earrings and a chapel length veil.
The gown Mary chose was our sparkle satin ballgown, style 17961 from the Victoria Jane Collection. Available in white or ivory it is made of soft, chic Mikado with a classic v neckline embellished with sparkle beaded and straps. The beading is continued onto the back of the gown and the look is completed with bride covered buttons all the way down the back to the hemline.
Mary, thank you so much for sharing your wedding day with us. We wish you and Paddy a lifetime full of happiness.
