Bianca & Lee: Real Bride Story

Where was the venue?

The ceremony took place at the Cloisters De Francesco, in Sorrento, Italy. Followed by the reception at Villa Antiche Mura. It was perfect! More than what we dreamt off. Surrounded by the sea, with the stunning view of the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Celebrated with all our loved ones.

How did you personalise your day?

Our colour theme was White, green, silver with a hint of Champagne.

What was the most important thing for you to have at your wedding?

The most important thing for us was to have my mum at our wedding. My mum had just finished her chemo treatment a week before we travelled out to Italy. So this was a blessing that she was well enough to travel. Obviously also having all of our family and friends there to share our special day with.

Did you have any idea of what style or shape of dress you were looking for?

I had always envisioned me walking down the aisle in a very fitted, fish tail shaped dress. However, I had no idea what type of style I was going to decide on. Whether I was going to choose lace, diamonds, off the shoulder etc. I just knew that as it was going to be in Italy in August and the weather was going to be very hot so I also had to think practically when deciding on my gown.

Did you try a lot of dresses on before you found the ONE?

We visited two shops on the same day. I was lucky enough to find my dress in the 2nd shop after trying around 15 different dresses. I just knew it was the one as soon as I came out to show everyone.

Where did you buy your dress from? which store?

Amorae Bridal in Chipping, Ongar.

What dress did you end up choosing?

It was called the Tea dress by Ronald Joyce.

Who went with you to try on dresses?

My mum, Mother in Law and my Maid of Honor.

Anything else you would like to share about your day or your dress?

We had an amazing wedding planner, Victoria, from Sophisticated Weddings who is based in Sorrento, Italy, whom we couldn’t recommend enough. Victoria was brilliant from start to finish and made the planning part of our wedding stress free.

Any tips for future brides?

Just take it all in as much as you can. Everyone says the day will go by in a flash and to be completely honest it really does! It’s your day so enjoy every minute of it.
