Depending on the kind of Christmas wedding you want can really change the colour scheme a lot. From winter wonderland to warm rustic Christmas, each theme will have a different setting. But one thing all Christmas weddings have in commons is that ‘tis the season of sparkle!’
When choosing your colours scheme it’s important to think about what kind of winter wonderland wedding you want and consider your venue.  If you’re marrying in a marble-filled country house, silver details will look particularly special. Silver twigs, fairy lights and silver ribbon to give the whole wedding a winter wonderland feel. If you are going for a more Christmas fairy tale wedding then we would suggest that blues, rose golds and whites will make a more magical winter wedding.
The Decorations

For a wonderland wedding you want to try and incorporate cooler tones for silver, blues, and whites, which will create an ice palace. White flowers, candles, and metal tree centrepieces with crystal garlands can be added for a dazzling effect. Fairy lights are always Christmas wedding best friend. Put them in trees, wind them round banisters and staircases, use them in floral arrangements (preferably those hanging overhead), line the aisles, have a whole wall of fairy lights, (you can never have enough). These will give a magical and perfect Christmas atmosphere. If you wants to bring some warms, then try incorporating some rose gold. This can be lighting or sprinkled into the table arrangement.

One of the best ways to create a winter wonderland is by having white blossom trees, fairy lights, candles, and white chairs. It’s a super stylish and timeless look that's actually very easy to achieve. You can hire white furniture and artificial trees from a local event hire company and ask your florist to go wild with all-white blooms.

For something a little different why not try DIYing your own ice buckets by freezing water with cranberries and rosemary sprigs into ice bucket shapes and serve your white wine in them at each table or the Champagne for your toasts!
The Venue

One of the easiest ways to create the right atmosphere for your winter wedding is to choose a venue that really lends itself to the season and too your theme. An all-white ceremony or reception room looks so good dressed up for a winter wonderland theme. Stately home are also a good idea as the lend themselves to the grand feel of a Christmas wedding and if it snow or frost over the grounds become a fairy tale dream.

Winter weddings are all about drama and theatre, and nothing give off more of a statement to the wedding dress then the train. For a winter wedding dress, the big moment, is first seeing the bride glide down the aisle. For this a ballgown or fit and flare dresses would be best suited, as this can give a timeless or dramatic look.
For a stunning timeless ballgown, which oozes classic Christmas charm Dawn is perfect. The romantic off-the-shoulder organdie ballgown wedding dress is perfect. The elegant ballgown with a ruched bodice, matching gentle v-neckline and floaty voluminous skirt will guild effortlessly down the aisle.

The Bouquets

Christmas bouquets sound easy in theory but can be a little harder in practise, depending on the theme of your winter wedding. For a rustic wedding with warm and rich colour this can be easy. Whereas winter wonderland, or winter Christmas themes can be a little harder. Fortunately, flowers such as roses, lisianthus, veronica, alstroemeria and gypsophila have a year-round presence, which makes them a budget-friendly option in the winter.
Silver, gold or rose gold boutiques are often a great choice for a winter wedding. To add a little bit of extra frost you can gently spray-painting parts of the bouquet. Or how about hand-tying your winter wedding bouquet with metallic, or ivory ribbon.
The Confetti

A winter wedding is a great time to look at an alternative kind of confetti as dried petals or rice just don't seem quite right for the season. Sliver, white and golds glitter confetti is always a must have for a winter wedding. We have seen and love the biodegradable confetti canons that will make it look like you're walking through snow. If you wants to be a little more inventive, why not try feathers, dried leaves, and Christmas herbs (like rosemary!). For a winter twist, you could give guests mini sleigh bells to ring as you walk out your ceremony.
To Bear in Mind

Some little extra bits to think about for your winter wedding are to visit your venue at night. Most of your wedding is going to be in the dark. Arrange a visit to your venue in the evening when you can see what kind of lighting they have, and whether the atmosphere is cosy and inviting. We would also suggest, seeing if the venue has heating, as in the evening you can feel the cold more.
We also love the idea of a festive cocktail, wheatear it be a classical mulled wine, something special with a little bit of gold or your own couples creation!
