Flawless Skin for your Wedding Day

Eat Well

Your diet will be one of the key things you will want to get on top of and this has nothing to do with trying to drop a size for your big day… you don’t need that pressure! This is all about your skin. Your diet is one of the biggest influencers on your skin and it’s reaction. Not only will you feel your best, your skin will be forever thankful. Your dietary requirements will vary based on the type of skin you have as well as your body type. For example, if you have combination skin, one of the most common skin types around, you will want to focus on having lean proteins, fresh greens, antioxidant-rich fruits and high protein carbs such as brown rice or quinoa. It will be important to know what type of skin you have and tailor your diet to your needs.

Hydrate

Drink plenty of water… lots more than you think. A good option is to add a slice or two of lemon into your water bottle. The lemon acts as a natural detoxification, aids digestion, is rich in vitamin c, brightens and rejuvenates the skin and naturally detoxifies the liver.

Facials

One of the most important things you will want to do is book in regular facials leading up to the date. Don’t leave this to the day or even week of the wedding as this could influence your skin to break out. Finding a good facialist who will listen to your needs and consider your budget, take some time and do your research. Once you’ve found the one…there’s no going back. Trying a new facialist too soon before the big date could end up being disastrous. Start looking and booking these in as soon as possible. You can also do at home sheet masks once a week which you can buy online quite cheaply.

Skin Care

Finding the right products for your skin can be a little tricky. Give yourself an ample amount of time to explore what products your skin loves and what it really hates. Serums, eye creams, cleansers and exfoliants should all be on your bucket list. Make sure you consult with a specialist, whether it be your dermatologist or facialist, who can advise you on products that fit your requirements, budget and skin type.
